The Heart Behind The Tournament
The Jason Tucker Memorial Inshore Slam was created to honor the life, service, and enduring legacy of Firefighter Jason C. Tucker — a firefighter’s firefighter whose impact continues to be felt throughout Pasco County and beyond.
Jason dedicated 19 years to Pasco County Fire Rescue, embodying brotherhood, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the job. He believed in giving your all to the profession, supporting your crew, and serving your community with integrity.
Beyond the badge, Jason loved life’s simple things — especially time on the water. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby; it was where friendships were strengthened, stories were shared, and lasting memories were made.
In July 2021, Jason was diagnosed with cancer and medically retired in July 2022 after nearly two decades of service. That same year, he was named Pasco County Fire Rescue Employee of the Year — a reflection of the respect and admiration he earned from his peers.
The Inshore Slam was born from the brotherhood he helped build — bringing firefighters, families, friends, businesses, and community members together on the water he loved, supporting causes that reflect who he was.
