Pasco County Professional Firefighters continue to rally around the people and causes that matter most — standing with Firefighter Frank McBride during his cancer battle while also keeping the legacy of Jason Tucker alive through the upcoming memorial tournament.

Pasco Firefighters Rally Behind Firefighter Frank McBride

Pasco County Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 4420, are rallying behind Firefighter Frank McBride as he battles Stage 3 cancer. At just 20 years old, McBride had only recently begun his career with Pasco County Fire Rescue before facing this life-changing diagnosis.

A community fundraiser is set for May 2, 2026, bringing together firefighters, families, friends, and supporters to help Frank and his family through the road ahead.

The event is more than a fundraiser — it is a reflection of the brotherhood, strength, and support that define the fire service. Every donation, shirt purchase, and shared post helps provide real support during treatment and recovery.

4th Annual Jason Tucker Memorial Inshore Slam

Local 4420 will host the 4th Annual Jason Tucker Memorial Inshore Slam on April 25, 2026, bringing together firefighters, families, anglers, sponsors, and community supporters along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Tournament Date: April 25, 2026

Captain’s Meeting: April 24, 2026 at 6:30 PM

Team Entry: $400 per team / up to 4 anglers

Registration & Sponsorships: Available now

Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Jason Tucker Memorial Scholarship and help continue Jason’s legacy by supporting future firefighters entering the profession.

Pasco Firefighters Secure $3.4 Million for Station 4 and Decon Equipment

Pasco County Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 4420, announced the successful securing of a $3.4 million state appropriation to support improvements to Station 4 and the purchase of a new decontamination extractor.

The funding reflects years of advocacy at the state level and marks a major investment in firefighter safety, health, and the protection of the community. The presentation took place at Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Station 46.

The scholarship awards up to $7,500 to individuals pursuing a career in the fire service and demonstrating strong character, leadership, and commitment to service.
