IAFF Local 4420 Announces Jason Tucker Memorial Scholarship

The Jason Tucker Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the life, service, and lasting legacy of Firefighter Jason C. Tucker while supporting individuals pursuing a career in the fire service.

Jason Tucker served Pasco County Fire Rescue for 19 years and was named Employee of the Year in 2022. One of his most enduring messages, “Own your attitude,” continues to serve as the guiding principle behind this scholarship.

The scholarship will award up to $7,500 to assist with tuition, fees, books, and other associated costs for applicants planning to attend an approved Fire Academy program.

IAFF Local 4420 created this opportunity to recognize applicants who demonstrate strong character, community involvement, and a commitment to serving others — the same values Jason lived every day.

4th Annual Jason Tucker Memorial Inshore Slam

Local 4420 will host the 4th Annual Jason Tucker Memorial Inshore Slam on April 25, 2026, bringing together firefighters, families, anglers, sponsors, and community supporters along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Tournament Date: April 25, 2026

Captain’s Meeting: April 24, 2026 at 6:30 PM

Team Entry: $400 per team / up to 4 anglers

Registration & Sponsorships: Available now

Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Jason Tucker Memorial Scholarship and help continue Jason’s legacy by supporting future firefighters entering the profession.
